Cute, endearing, leaning on wholesome. Always a pleasure to read of an older protagonist.

Interesting exploration of opposing personalities and means of expression. Expansion of found family elements. Attention to detail about science, medical field, and the artistic field.

for those looking for a steamy romance, there is some. But in all honesty, while I don't usually read for such things, I'm not sure it was even truly needed. This story worked well just in seeing the emotional development of the characters as individuals and in accepting and learning how to be in a relationship. It would have been just as satisfying to the narrative without.
