*Audiobook* I really liked this one! It definitely had some darker elements and some things that may be triggering, so please check the warnings. Killian and Cilla's back and forth was so damn hot. The fact that these two were both broken as hell but still managed to find each other in the dark and help each other through their trauma was beautiful by the end of it. It was really heartbreaking once certain things are revealed throughout and especially at the end. But on another note, the spice was ooo ooo OOO so delicious!!! Really enjoyed all of what Killian was putting down...mmm....

The narrators did a fantastic job! Really felt the emotion in the writing and the dialogue was conveyed in such an easy way that made this so enjoyable to listen to. This was the first audiobook I'd listened to from these two, and I definitely want to hear more from them, especially the male narrator, Christian Fox. I'm very picky about male narrators and he gave me exactly what I love to hear.

Definitely recommend if you're looking for: quicky, standalone (but within the same world as others, not needed to read), dirty/spicy as hell, broken people coming together to heal each other/enemies-to-lovers, M/F, mafia vibe (but very much in the background). Enjoy!

This one was a bit of a clunker. It was heavy on the “Beauty and the Beast” of it all, and real light/murky on the mafia plot points. Some of the more brutal elements of the story felt like they were included more for shock, rather than for impacting the story. Also, the spice was just okay.

I truly enjoyed this book and devoured the whole story, I had all intentions of this book being a 4/5 or 5/5 but I feel the "resolution" to her problems was just rushed and a little too inconceivable, it is the only reason for my rating.
