Esta novelita corta se centra en la historia de cómo se conocieron Lee Scoresby y Iorek Byrnison. Me gustó mucho. El final me hizo emocionarme un poquito aunque la escena de la pelea es un poco larga y tediosa. Tiene ilustraciones, al igual que El Oxford de Lyra, y material adicional al final. Creo que es una lectura casi obligada para todo fan de His Dark Materials.
