Its Brilliant!

Definitely a book meant for a child who already knows the original story, it recontextualizes and changes the narrative destination without losing familiar structure.

We need more retold stories like this with updated themes and understandings of what we want our children to be.

And on the top of that, the illustration is gorgeous, and really does feel like the PNW.

A fun Little Red variation. Kind of wordy, but ends in a fun way with the wolf baking Great-Granny a birthday cake. Useful for comparing versions of the story.
