Creepy, suspenseful read featuring one of my favourite fictional women. And yet another review to add to my To-Do list....sigh....

Loved the spooky denouement of this one. Possibly my favourite of the series so far in terms of the mystery.
I think one of the most fascinating things about Fiona — as a reader — is the nature and doubt inspired by her actions. Is she getting better, or is she getting better at hiding? Her nature gives us both, and leaves me often wondering about the final answer.

I just love the Fiona Griffiths series and this is no exception. Tightly plotted with great writing and character development. My second favourite book of the year (behind Lincoln in the Bardo)
