Well, the long journey to the new home places has ended, but now the real work begins. Each clan must find its new camp in the area around the lake where Silverpelt shines. In so doing, the co-mingled clans begin to reassert their separateness, even though this is bittersweet for many.

Brambleclaw's identity crisis continues, but it pales in comparison to that experienced by Onewhisker, who is unexpectedly thrust into Clan leadership but cannot receive his nine lives from StarClan because there is no Moonstone.

Tensions build. Leafpaw feels the absence of StarClan most acutely but is even more distressed when the one sign they send is such an ominous one.

Definitely one of the more action-packed book in this series. Very fun. The finding of the moon pool was written well. And the trickles of belief in Star Clan or not mirrors some of the questions the young readers of this might be starting to grapple with as they become pre-teens/teens and reflecting on how they believe about the world. I just really liked this one.
