Not my favourite style but fun to read at Christmas.
I did really like this book but I suppose going into it with the mindset of "this is going to be a really funny book" did set it up for a little bit of failure.
However I did find myself laughing at a couple of the stories in particular (even out loud at the end) and each story was a perfect reminder of what Christmas should and can be. This family was fun to have in my life particular at this season and I can only imagine how fun it would have been and can be to listen to these done live or on the radio! (I think my favourites were the one at the end, and the gift baskets one. But perhaps the one with the storm was a tie in there too, and the turkey one you can't go wrong with.)
Overall a: Very cute collection of holiday stories, with fun characters, interesting twists and turns (some predictable and some not) and never a dull moment! A quick and charming read.

An absolutely delightful compilation of Christmas time stories . The classics: Dave Cooks the Turkey, Christmas at the Turlingtons and many more hilarious stories of Dave, Morley, their kids , and neighbours.
This was so cute and fun! I love short stories and reading these funny and festive stories got me right in the holiday spirit. I liked that each story was based around the same set of characters, so you were able to learn their quirks, have inside jokes, and call-backs to previous stories in the collection.
A coworker recommended this to me and lent me her copy of the book so I will definitely be getting a copy of my own.
