Renzo and Lucia separated by those who claim to love her most, finally come back together to finish what they started. They’re different people now but does that really matter to the person you love most? I am so happy with the conclusion. Honestly just pick up this trilogy already.

First off, this book took me by storm! I loved seeing the development of these characters, more so Renzo, how he’d become a stronger, wiser man, washing away the past and embracing the future, even if he didn’t have a hand in deciding how it would happen. He was no longer the smart mouth street kid, destined to stay stagnant and forever struggling. Even though the mouth still remained, he became more redefined, the lessons he learned while the 5 years lingered between him and the love of his life, Lucia.
As for Lucia, she had grown up as well. No longer the emotional woman, even though her frustration with her father never died, you see he eclipse and growth of her, learning that forgiveness is just as important if not more, than holding the pain of a grudge forever.
And Lucian. The man, the myth, the father that never invoked himself in his children’s lives until his heart made him fumble into Lucia’s love life. What he thought was protection turned sour, clearly. But in the darkness, he made amends and more than orchestrated the path way to healing the hearts he’d broken. I imagined time and time again Lucian remembering that saying “this will hurt me more than you” which I feel rings true in this case.
Passion, romance, action and redemption. Those words continue to cycle in my mind after getting to the last page. It’s an exciting conclusion between the love affair that only weather the testament of time.
Lucia was right all along, she and Ren belonged together, and even though they had been apart for so long, time had made them absolutely perfect together!
Loved it! And you will too!!!

What a perfect conclusion to this amazing story. I have loved the Marcello family, especially Lucian, since the beginning. To have him play such a role in Lucia's story was the cherry on top.
So many emotions. A few teary moments and a lot of bumps on the way to Lucia and Renzo's HEA but it was so worth it.
Off topic, the progression of the all three covers is aesthetically sublime as was the way they were titled. I'm a forever fan of this author.

Probably the most meaningful quote (and summary of the entire book)...“Hate and contempt are not the same, dolcezza. Hate is in your heart. The other, in your mind. Sometimes, they might feel like they are the same, but they aren’t. You cannot hate the things you love..."
Bethany-Kris still surprises me and I have no idea why! I should have learned by now- all the feels, epic hearrbreak, oh and serious bad@ssery! And yet, I thought this would be a sleepy curveball after Harbor. I thought after the tidalwave of epic proportion that was Harbor would make this feel like a splash in the kiddie pool. Yeah, that's a big fat mother fluffing NO. Contempt rings loud and clear through these pages. The anger, disgust, and contempt feel like a sludge coating the reader, Lucia, and all those in either radius.
The book oozes emotions. It claws at your heart, your mind, and you emotions leaving you a bloody, but happy pulp...eventually.
You may feel Contempt but you no longer hate. And in the end, you have neither in your heart, mind, or emotions.
For those celebrating this occasion...Cin Cin!

After a brutal and painful separation, this reunion was so sweet to see. I liked that Lucia took time to come to terms with everything because that made so much sense to me. I wish we got to see more of Diego though!
This is one finale you don't want to miss!
Twists, turns and one hell of a love story!

2.5 renzo & lucia were pretty cute the ending just felt a bit rushed and dramatic
Wow. What a ride this has been. I fell in love with Lucia and Renzo from the get-go, it’s hard to not. I honestly did not expect to love these books as much as I did. It was definitely the characters that brought this story to life.
I had started Lucian a few months back, but I didn’t get far. Now, I want to go back and read it. Sure, I hated Lucian at some points, I mean who didn’t? But, I also fell in love with him too.
I will definitely need to read more about the Marcello world.

Lucia continued to find ways to stay away from her family and not go home, she saw them and felt angry again, and the memories in New York reminded her of Renzo, she couldn’t stop thinking about him. Nearly five years on and the pain of losing him was still there.
Renzo knew he’s time was nearly up with the League and the one thing on his mind was Lucia, he didn’t know if she’d moved on or done with him, but he knew she hadn’t left his mind. The problem the League gave him a job and it was in California, where Lucia was. The League let him break rules but never the one about contact with Lucia, it was one he knew he couldn’t break.
Things start to show for both Lucia and Renzo, Renzo realises that his mark may have more than a passing interest in Lucia, and he wonders how her father is involved in The League. One thing he knows that hasn’t changed is his feeling for Lucia or their chemistry and he knows he has to tell her the truth.
Lucia can’t believe was Renzo tells her, what he’s been through, she’s never stopped loving him or doubting him throughout her hurt.
As things start to make more sense to Renzo, he knows the danger is worse, he only goal is to keep Lucia safe, even if that means losing her.
