What an agonizingly exceptional book this is!

Chase and Alicias ending in the first book was heartbreaking. When she left.. my heart broke for both of them.

This book begins 3 years later. Jill and Cam are getting married and Alicia comes home from London for the wedding. With her is Simon, her friend, and a surprise for everyone. She has not maintained contact with anyone… not Chase, who had done what she asked and let her go, nor Callie and Jill, who were her best friends. She just stopped taking their calls. No one knew why. Now that she’s home, she begins to wonder if she did the right thing. She’s torn between yes and no.

This story is a wonderfully haunting tale of two broken souls who found each other at a time when they both needed something to hold onto. Both in recovery from alcohol addiction, they clung to each other and when Chase slipped… Alicia couldn’t let herself go there, so she ran. Now, she’s come back and Chase realized that it’s her, always her. But can it work?

That’s where I’ll stop, because it’s too heart-wrenching, so we’ll written (my hat is off to Kacey Shea, this is excellent),so good that I telling you all that you NEED to read this book, this duet, as soon as possible! 5 stars from me.

Caught in Us
Caught Series, Book 4
By: Kacey Shea
Narrated by: Teddy Hamilton, Savannah Peachwood

Fantastic! That is all I can say! This duet is fantastic! You should read the first book if you can before beginning this one, but there is a quick recap, so you have an idea of what happened previously. Now three years later, Alicia is back to attend Jill and Cam's wedding, and she has brought a surprise! Returning was not going to be easy, Alicia knew that. Her unresolved feelings for Chase are front and center. Chase is thrown when he sees her. He has been on the straight and narrow, revamping his life, finding a great girlfriend and help running the teen center. This new complication is not what he needs. But we all know how Chase feels about Alicia and he willing to do whatever it takes to win her back. Will she stay or go back to England? Is Chase really willing to give up his stable life for Alicia? And how will this all effect the wedding? Kacey Shea has won my heart with this couple. I love Alicia, but at times just wanted to knock some sense into her. I get her hesitation, but so frustrating! Chase is the man we all want. Attentive, warm, affectionate and knows what he wants. This couple has been through a lot, and their history and way it is dealt with is imperative to both their health. The love is evident, the friends are supportive and it's an all-around warm and wonderful listen. Love Simon, hope he comes back to visit too!

Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood finish the duet with their fabulous narration. These two storytellers are so in tune with their characters making it easy to give my heart to them. They both include the exact emotional pull, fear and love to make the story realistic and enjoyable. I love this team whenever they are together, and know I am in for a treat when they are!

Oh my heart!!!! It takes a lot to make me remember that the narrators are reading an amazing book and not actual people in these situations! Took me two days to listen to it and I couldn’t put it down!

In this conclusion to Alicia and Chases’s story we get so much from angst, pain, longing and more. Alicia is back after she left three years ago. Chase has tried to move on with his life but how will Alicia’s return be handled? Will he let her go and move on with his life? Will he be angry and feel betrayed? How will Alicia handle things now? Are some secrets just to much for them to bare? This book was so full of emotions it was heartbreaking and beautiful.

This is the conclusion to the duet and wow what a conclusion.
The book starts 3 years after Caught in the Chase and Alicia has returned for Cam and Jill's wedding.
Her feelings for Chase are still there but he has moved on and is now in a relationship.
When they first meet the chemistry is still there but what will happen when he finds out the big secret she has been keeping.
The book is full of emotion and plenty of drama but can they get their hea.
An absolute must read.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

This was the second part of the duet and I really enjoyed this part!

Things were in a good place for both of them at the end of book one and then the author throws each them for a loop in a BIG WAY at the beginning of this one. The story proceeds nicely, some rocky points but that’s to be expected.

Will be interesting to see if KS continues this series with Alisha’s brothers and sister since there were some hints dropped throughout.

I really loved the ending and the bonus epilogue! Wrapped their story up really well ❤️

Teddy Hamilton and Savannah Peachwood are so great in these roles!

The perfect ending to the perfect series.

AHHH. Wow.

Kacey did it again with the fourth book in the Caught Series. I love that we got to once again dive into the relationship between Alicia and Chase.

This secret though, that Alicia has been keeping from not only Chase but also her friends was jaw dropping. I do love that they had time apart, I think that it was crucial for if they really wanted their relationship to work and last. Chase is still probably the perfect book boyfriend, a man that was perfectly crafted by a woman (the best type). I can never thank TikTok for recommending these books to me.

This was a great conclusion to this series, giving us a glimpse into all the characters we fell in love with. Kacey, I applaud you for writing such a great series, that was not only fun and lighthearted but gut-wrenching at the same time.

This is an ARC review. All opinions are solely my own.

Caught in Us by Kacey Shea is the follow up book to Caught in the Chase. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book and I can honestly say I didn't know what twist this book was going to take. For the record: I AM HERE FOR IT!! This series must be read in order to fully appreciate the story.

Alicia is returning to Richmond for a friend's wedding and to mend some relationships. The only relationship she hopes to leave where it is, is the one that could destroy her. Chase. These two are combustible. When they are forced together, truths are told, lives are changed.

This book discusses addiction and can be triggering for readers just as it was triggering for Alicia and Chase.

Kacey Shea outdid herself with this duet within the series. This book hits on so many issues without feeling overwhelming.
