This was sweet. If you’re familiar with Jane Austen’s writing, it’s very fun to see these stories from her younger years. I love her penchant for ridiculous and I love her sweet dedications, particularly to her sister.
Who knew Jane Austen was so hilariously witty and catty? These short pieces are absurd, insulting, and glorious. I love that the original spelling and grammar mistakes have been preserved. Well worth a read.
The first Austen I've read; you can see the beginnings of literary brilliance, but its clear that these teenaged writings are not up to the quality of her later works

Além de haver nomes que serão mais tarde aproveitados para outros livros (Maria Williams do conto "Letter the third", Musgrove e Henrietta do conto "From a young lady very much in love to her freind" e outros mais)

These stories of Austen's (her juvenilia, the stories she wrote for her family's amusement as a child) are the last of Austen's writing for me to read. It was obvious from these stories the genius that was yet to come. The outrageousness of many of the stories (poisoners and murderers!) suggested the witty and satirical pen that would give us Northanger Abbey.
