Responses to the short stories in "Kink" are bound to be personal; I responded particularly well to the stories offered by Larissa Pham, Carmen Maria Machado, and (for all its brutality) Garth Greenwell. But potential readers should be made hip to the surprising LACK of kink here, in place of which is some okay if overwrought erotica and pretty awful sexual violence.

This book was really quite disappointing. Found a lot of the stories to be 'meh' at best. I did find 'The Lost Performance of the High Priestess of the Temple of Horror' gripping, dark and tense but like so many of the short stories, it descends into what is actually abuse and not kink.

Obviously a v sexual book but the stories are written by a wide variety of authors including trans, intersex and other LGBTQ voices. Also the stories are interesting and well written
