The mastery of this series is beyond compare. I cannot even begin to say how much I am enjoying this series. In book one, we met Jonas and Julia, becoming intertwined in their crazy relationship. With Julia finding out Jonas's secret, we are left at the end with a million questions in hopes that this book will answer them! As we begin the next part of this series, we meet more characters, like Luke and Rebecca, see familiar ones like Jenna and have so many feelings of frustration, love, forgiveness, passion and anger! Twist and turns galore take us through this story, leaving me wondering, do I like Jonas? Do I hate Jonas? What is Julia going to do? How many more secrets are there? And what is with the blind woman and her nuggets of wisdom? I can't get enough, and while I normally do not like cliffhangers, I am loving the way this series is portrayed. I can't wait to hear Jonas's point of view and hopefully get my answers in Secret Enemy!

The narration of this book is impeccable by the amazing Tracy Marks. She can voice any character and this story gives her children, men, women and even French accents. I love her ability to pull you in with the tone of her voice and keep you entranced for the entire performance. It is incredibly entertaining and a must listen.

Audiobook: Upon being reunited, Jonah continues his controlling manner - which backfires on multiple occasions.  On one hand, it's understandable.  On the other, Julia's naivete and lack of consistently standing up for herself makes me want to pull out my hair.  Some secrets are revealed in the early parts of this installment while other lies and secrets are created and buried or slowly revealed.  The crazy doesn't end here.  The cliffhanger, while expected that this would be it, the who isn't clear. It's a real whodunit! The narration is good.

I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review. These thoughts and opinions are my own.
What a wonderful story. I loved the characters, the plot, the way it unfolds. I love the humor, the passion, the romance. This is the second book in the series, and my one and only complaint is that there is a huge cliffhanger at the end.
I would recommend this book to anyone but not as a standalone.

I listened to the audiobook version:

I was so so excited to find out what was going on, but it fell slightly short for me. I just didn't like Jonas' authoritative side in this one. I found him TOO much and would've never been able to forgive him for what he did. She was in the wrong as well, but you can understand why she did what she did at least.
The writing was good and I liked the narrator, it was still an interesting listen, I just couldn't gel with the story as much as I did the first. I am interested to find out what happens though.

I’m reviewing the audio version of this book. I listened to the first book in this series and was getting a little frustrated. This book makes the story much better. There are more elements and twists thrown in and so much I didn’t see coming. Jonas again seems more strange than likable. Julia just can’t seem to make up her mind about him. Common sense doesn’t seem to be a deciding factor with her. Then there are the added characters who bring so much to the story. I am now anxious to see how the story plays out. I loved Love, Michael and was concerned for this story but hopefully when all comes together it will be as good as that was. Again there just seems to me the narrator is more unemotional than the story but it might be me. I received a free copy from Story Origin who introduced me to this author and the review is entirely my opinion.

So I really did enjoy the first book. I can't say it was a favorite, but I enjoyed it very much. I wound up giving it a 3.5 out of 5 stars overall. This book was way better than the first one! I'm glad I chose to continue to read the books. I was wondering why it was a trilogy and now I get it!

There are parts of the book that kind of drag to the point of mind-numbing madness because all you want to do is scream at all the characters for being idiots. But I think it's that way on purpose. Warning: This book ends on a cliffhanger. Strongly recommend having the next book to grab right when finished with this book!

I fully recommend this book. I know that the first book can be frustrating at times, but the characters are amazing and lovable and the second book is just so much better than the first! I'm glad I stumbled upon the trilogy!

The story flow is better than the first book. Still confusing at times. Some things just don’t exactly fit and seem to be put in just for the shock factor. (Sex club) The characters are stronger in this book. Just lacking chemistry

I did not know this was the second installment when I requested it, after reading a few chapters I figured it out and stopped reading so I could read book 1. I was not disappointed!!!!! There were so many twists and turns that my head is still reeling!
The book was juicy and exhilarating right up to the end! I was questioning everything and everyone! I really liked the character progression and the ever-thickening plot! I am just upset that I forgot to read it because I got sidetracked, and could have read this masterpiece sooner! I cannot wait for the third book!
I recommend this book to anyone who loves intrigue and page-turning, nail-biting plotlines! There is also love, emotional breakdowns, and strife! This book has everything you need to fill your checklist for your next favorite read!

Thank you for allowing me to read this fantastic work of fiction!
