I definitely think that this was the best book of the series. Loved it. Read it in one sitting.
for a rosemary beach story this one isn't terrible. by book #12 you have to accept the ludicrous and the inane and the cringe, so anything that makes a semblance of sense is a bonus. in this one, we're expected to believe a dye job and some glasses are enough to conceal someone's identity, but honestly that's pretty tame for abbi.
I tried to be vague enough and my reviews not to spoil the book, but with this book I'm not sure how to do that. First of all I love the series, I love all the characters, I want to go visit Rosemary Beach. That part of this book was no exception, I really like the backstory of both rows and Captain (we will stick with those names, just for the sake of my own sanity) I even felt the connection between them was very strong especially in the early years, I was a little iffy on the later connection, but first love and all that. Where I had my problem was with Captains prior occupation, And that Rose did not have a problem with it??? Really??? First you want me to believe she has been with no other man for over 10 years, and now I need to believe that she is OK with the man she loves being a trained killer? I mean a lot of us have a bad childhood's....
So, you had a bit of a pill to have to swallow in this book, but I swallowed it, and for the most part I liked it, it wasn't my favorite of the series absolutely not, but I'm still looking forward to the next book in the series.

I love loved this book just another great Abbi Glines books. I can never get enough of her books they are just amazing.

I was looking forward to Captains story so much but too be honest I was just a tiny bit disappointed. I think it lacked the emotion that all of her other stories held for me. I didn't really believe in Addy and Captain. Now the story goes from past tense to present tense. I felt it when she was narrating in the past tense but the present tense just didn't do it for me. Honestly it feels like it wasn't given all it could have been given. I am a huge Abbi Glines fan and I am so upset that I didn't love this one. I give this a 3.5
If you have never read any of Abbi Glines Books you are crazy!! Her books has a little of everything in it for you. This is book 12 so i recommend you read the other first. In her last book we got a little sneak preview of what life was like for Captain. let me tell you I did not see it coming. He is a hot, funny, and caring guy. When you reed thins book I feel like i am in the book with the characters as well. I do not have any thing bad to say about this book.
