I loved this book!

I've been fascinated by Mythology and Ancient History since childhood, and this book has elements of both.

If you enjoy reading about gods and monsters, or are just looking for an enjoyable read, you can't go wrong with this one.

I hope that there will be a sequel.

Fun and fast-paced

I'll start by saying that the first quarter of the book is slow-moving. We're introduced to a lot of characters with little idea of what is happening. Once the action starts it doesn't let up until near the end.

Great tying together of various mythologies, including some that I found to be obscure. Make no mistake that they are done in a unique manner.

Now for the part I didn't like, which I'm putting below for spoilers...

It's Billy. Really hates the idea of introducing the only GLBT character only to kill him off. It was unnecessary. Either there should have been more or he could have simply not been gay. As far as biblical texts go, it's at odds with what we know anyway, so it should have been avoided. I took off a star for it.

DNF Got 65% of the way and just didn’t care anymore. Great concept just horrible execution in book format.

Much like grim dark, Urban Fantasy especially the ones written by male authors are just lazy books.

Interesting if not overly descriptive Gods and superhero end of the world story. Definitely will consider reading more of this author but really feels like a very geeky homage to all things Fantasy in a way that probably needed more editing to concentrate the readers attention. 4/5
