Nothing groundbreaking, but for fans of the two movies this is really good and the closest thing to exploring the theme of how bad life is on Earth like "Do Androids..." did.

A tremendously handsome and inventive yet reverent little part one of a detective story. Looking forward to getting my hands on part two. The balance of being detailed and yet impressionistic is wonderfully struck here and Green delivers rich characters simply and with short, clear, engaging dialogue.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s skeptical of tie-in materials, especially when they’re tying into something like Blade Runner. This comic was written by the screenwriter of Blade Runner 2049, though, and you can tell! I couldn’t recommend this enough to Blade Runner fans looking for more.
This is another Blade Runner story that starts with one of those Replicant hunters on a mission, but this story takes a completely different tack from the original movie and from 2049. That’s all I really wanted, tbh, and Michael Green delivers a new angle on this universe that’s executed pretty well.
I had to dock a star though because, as great as the art is, Blade Runner fans are gonna feel let down by how much better the movies look.

This book sis excellent primer what happens when people build on the existing fiction - when they do not try to retell the same story over and over again but create original characters and events.
Our main protagonist is anti-hero, Blade Runner Ash. We follow her as she hunts down the replicants and takes them out in a very gruesome way (she has almost sadistic tendencies towards replicants). And then she gets offered the job to find wife and daughter of one of the corporate giants. What starts as the simple investigation soon becomes fight for life and death and it is not only Ash's life that will hang in balance.
Art is truly beautiful, everything from the interiors, exteriors and characters - pure joy for the eyes.
Highly recommended to all fans of cyberpunk and gritty noir SF stories.
