I have mixed feelings. I like it, but I'd love to get to know more about the author. The chapters are too short and you end up knowing a little bit about everything but nothing into details. I like the author's point of view and how he introduced everything. It's more about his journey than meditation and creativity.

I really resonated with Lynch's theories on ideas—fishing for them, translating, letting them breathe.
His retrospective stories on his filmmaking are also great.
Lynch's favorite Kubrick film might be LOLITA? huh.
Not sure about transcendental meditation. It's too bad there's no guide he points to in how to go about it. He doesn't seem to imply that you learn to do it intuitively either.

Alternative title should read - ‘A bid to get you to pay for a transcendental meditation course’

No substance or depth on any topic in this book. If you expect to glean anything except cliche advice, set your expectations lower.
You won't learn anything about Lynch's method except that he does it, and it worked a couple times. Oh, and a few really poorly-told, borderline name-dropping anecdotes.

The insights into meditation were very interesting, less so the musings on his films. But I think the intersections of the two made the work worthwhile.

Part filmography walkthrough and creative process tell-all, it's so plainly written in Lynch's voice and so inspiring.
Yes to meditating, yes to dreams inspiring you, and yes to piecing together things that make sense in your life.
It all makes sense in hindsight, but it wasn't an easy thing to make what he's made.
If anything, it reminded me to meditate, and the only person all of this has to make sense to is you.
