I was thinking of books from childhood and this one still comes readily to mind. It was gifted to me by a family friend living in Canada, and I found the book itself to be distinctly foreign in many ways. The images still haunt me--creepy! I have it somewhere and should dig it up for storytelling to my friend's children.
