Full disclosure, I grew up on this series so my opinion is necessarily biased.
I'm of the view that there is no such thing as a bad Asterix book ... but some volumes, like this one, are pretty good.
As a child, I borrowed this one now and again. As an adult, still happy to pick it up.

A soothsayer comes to the village during a storm and creates trouble as everyone starts taking him seriously.
A good few laughs, and always nice to dive into the world of Astérix and Obelix for an hour.

A good one, I prefer the village dynamic editions to the traveling/stereotypes. Might learn more about Gaulish gods too.

The Gaulish village falls for the words of a conman claiming to be a soothsayer and only Asterix can see through his lies. This story again sees a greater focus of the ladies of the village is noteworthy for being the first time they get to sample the magic potion and join in with the attack on the Roman camp. The Piggywiggy scene is a highlight.
These books are full of bright, fun and delightful characters who go on various adventures and get to beat up a bunch of Roman soldiers. Accompanying the story and the characters is a plethora of clever puns and word play that the translators should get a medal for. There are always a few gags or phrases in Latin that may mean nothing to the non-Latin speakers (such as myself) but Google can lend a helping hand there.
