Really fun story about a little girl who wants to be a giant slayer.

Stupendous. This book features one of my new favorite girl heroes, a fiesty little girl named Claudette who sets out with two awesome companions to defeat the giant that is bothering her town. This is one of my favorite middle grade books of 2012 so far. Full review at http://slatebreakers.com/2012/04/19/review-giants-beware-by-rafael-rosado-and-jorge-aguirre/

This story was fantastic. It is hilarious, and played with stereotypes of dragon/monster type stories. I loved spunky Claudette, and that even though it's under false pretenses, she gets her friends to see their special talents.

I read this with my son when he was six and just starting to get into reading. This book started the engine and he's never looked back. I love the story and the characters. Claudette is a great kid as are her buddies. I love that the adults are still around and flawed but not especially evil - just mostly wrong. The illustrations are beautiful and fit with the tone of the book. There is nothing objectionable and it is a great starter graphic novel for the younger crowd.

Fun book about a girl who wants an adventure and her partners in crime.

I let my 8 year old pick a book for me to read and this is the one he picked. Graphic novels aren't usually my thing but this was a great story about never underestimating yourself and I loved it!

One very fun, adventure. Great characters.

This was adorable and I can't wait to read the next one!
