This is a good overview of the series for volumes 1-9. There isn't too much insight into the world and characters that you wouldn't have already gotten just be reading the main series, though there are a few facts that do add enrichment or are just fun to know (such as Sylvia, the Handler, adopting one of the bomb dogs ). I wish there was more in-depth insights into the setting and characters, but this was fun and enjoyable enough; this is definitely not a necessary read (good as a recap, though). I did skim a bit during the last section of the book with the interviews.
Moderate: Violence, Blood, and War
Minor: Animal cruelty

- I was SO excited to find out that Spy x Family had an official guide coming out!! I love this manga and I thought that it was super helpful to have some information about the world and the missions so far in book form! I was always curious to learn more about the culture in Westalia and Ostania, as well as their history.
- The guide is a great mix of worldbuilding recaps and interviews! There was some new information about the characters and I loved the designs of their pages, they were each inspired by the character's personality! There are also recaps for all missions done so far, so it's easy to look things up that happened in previous volumes. I also quite enjoyed reading the interview with the author and get to know more about his process and the inspiration for the manga!
Minor: Sexism, Violence, and War
