Audiobook Review: One Hundred Wishes (An Aspen Cove Romance Book 3) by Kelly Collins (Author), Logan McAllister (Narrator)

Aspen Cove is the place where hearts dare to dream and souls go to heal. A less than ideal life has brought two strangers to a crossroads. As a youth, Samantha White dreamed of something better. Caught in a life filled with heartache and poverty, she wanted to escape. Now an adult Samantha seems to have it all. A glamorous career, a ton of money and an unmatched celebrity. From the outside, she's living the dream, but inwardly she's falling apart. It seems she can never stop running. Going incognito is the best way to find peace, until a past she wanted to outrun starts to feel like a perfect fit. Dalton is the dream she never hoped to have and refuses to live without. What happens when the present she left behind, proves a stumbling block to the future she's just beginning. Collins begins and ends with emotion. One Hundred Wishes puts it's best heart forward and step right into the soul. McAllister made a breathing entity out of an already breathtaking journey. Beautiful.

This is the third book in the series and while it can be read as a standalone it is best read in order. I really enjoyed this series and this book did not disappoint it was really well written and I was pulled right in. This is Dalton and Samantha's story she is a pop star and has gone to Aspen Grove for a break and to relax that's when she meets Dalton he is an ex-felon who spent six years inside for killing a man. I just loved these two they were fantastic together this was a super read I just could not get enough and ended up finishing it in one sitting

Definitely enjoyed the "trying to feel normal" heroine, and Dalton is so easy to love. What a character! This is a great read, definitely 5 stars.

I listened to the Audiobook. Once again, the narration was well done. This is the third book in the series. I read the first one and listened to the audio version of books 2 and 3. I have found that these are good stories whether you read them or listen to them.

I imagine they can be read as standalones, but I think they are better read in order. In this book, two unlikely people end up finding love. Both Dalton and Samantha feel a little damaged and a little hopeless. Because of their pasts, they recognize a kindred spirit in one another.

I like the whole small town atmosphere, support of friends and family, and sense of community. There was very little angst in the story. Some things I expected to happen , which would have increased the angst factor, never did happen. There was also some suspense involved did to both Dalton and Sam having secrets that they were initially unwilling to share.

Ultimately unexpected occurrences caused some changes in Aspen Cove, but those situations forced Dalton and Samantha to realize their HEA. A sweet, sexy, small town romance.

I voluntarily listened to and reviewed the Audiobook received from the author.

What happens?
Samantha White is running away from her Indigo personality to have some rest and relaxation before she gets stuck with another 10 year contract singing and touring the country.
Dalton is not long out of prison for killing a man with a single punch. Finding love to him is going to be impossible and doesn't seem at all likely with his criminal conviction. When he stops someone breaking into the vacant property next door he realises that the young boy he believed was squatting is actually a beautiful woman who is hiding from something.
Final thoughts
Really good read. I think this may be my favourite. I liked the couples and I thought these two were super sweet.
