No rating since I don't rate religious texts out of respect, but I really liked this edition. It was my first time reading the New Testament through (I read the Old Testament in a different book, The Jewish Study Bible) and I think this edition does a great job of providing the right amount of information--the annotations are helpful and easy to access without being overwhelming. I also thought the translation was easy to understand without being too simplistic. I haven't read any other edition of the Bible (besides what they gave us in religious ed when I was a kid) so I can't compare, but I would recommend this one!
I'm not interested in reading this anymore. I went my whole life following this book, and after 26 years I finally realized that I can't justify the evils of Christianity any more. How was I able to worship a god who actively tortures people for eternity in hell? It makes no sense. Once I asked myself that question, the whole thing started to crumble. Once I started praying to God every day, desperately, "God, please save everyone. Please save everyone. Don't let anyone go to hell," it was just a matter of time.
I'm not religious so i find no divine inspiration from this book, however the illusions to the Bible throughout other literary works are too numerous to count, so I figured it was about time I read it.
Really, this Bible is the best. No Google search could turn up better point by point explanations of the text.

I've read the entire KJV Bible so I don't feel the need to re-read another translation, I only read this for studying purposes so I also don't feel the need to rate it but it is tremendously informative. I recommend this to anyone, Christian or non-Christian, who wants to have a deep dive into the Bible.
