As with all KC books, I laughed and had an enjoyable experience. I just wanted something different or more from the Epilogue.

I can't believe I read this book in one day! Go buy a copy and read it.
It's hard to know if the overly enthusiastic reader doomed this book for me, or if it really is a bit obvious, fatuous, and bland. It's not a bad book per se, but it is so "meh" that I abandoned it once in the spring, and then came back to it because I was sewing a lot and wanted something to listen to. The ideas of reinventing oneself, of forgiveness, and the importance of the wilderness are all valid, but the plot never gains momentum or really amounts to much. I counted 27 times the author used "literally" in the text: she didn't misuse it, but it got repetitive!
Meh. It was okay.
