This was just another fun exciting adventure in the Dirk Pitt Universe. The bad guys have an evil plan and Dirk and co find out about on a fluke chance and begin to slowly unravel the mysteries and yet again in the end the bad guys are foiled! :-)
Maybe it's just me, but this series reached its peak long ago.

Felt pretty formulaic and as I listen still a bit on the sexist side. You’d think the elder Pitt would have evolved by now.
Aside from that the link between Egypt and Ireland was quite interesting and so were some of the descriptions for locations.
I didn’t enjoy this one as much, but due to the formula and quick chapters you could read it quite quickly.

#bookclub4m Adventure fiction! So in my attempt to find adult versions of this genre I pulled some books under the "action and adventure" subject heading at my library. I realised that I have never read a Clive Cussler before despite the fact there are very very many. I would describe this as reading a book that was basically an American action movie. Lots of action, a bit of history-esque background story, insane villain out to destroy our world, and incredibly bland heros.
