My son doesn't like this one especially. It's okay but it doesn't hold his interest. But the opposites are good ones that are easy to illustrate and are basic, plus they rhyme, so I like it okay.
A Spanish-as-a-first-language or made to be bilingual book would be a better choice in my opinion. No flow or rhymes because it's just a straight translation into Spanish. Es Hora de Dormir or Mama's Milk are poetic in both languages.
We read this one in Spanish. Will need to get the English version so I can hear the rhyming others talk about in their reviews. Love anything Sandra Boynton does.
It's been years since I last read this particular Sandra Boynton book, so the page with the corded landline phones really got to me. "Right" is the pig talking on the phone. "Wrong" is the pig who is wearing an identical phone on his head. It's hilarious and nostalgic, but since this is for toddlers, adults will have to use this book as lesson in opposites AND in rapid technological change!
