The...simplistic nature of the MCs' inner thoughts as well as the dialogue broke up the flow of the emotional plot for me. But other than that, I adored the novelization of this story as much as I did the movie version. It hits some personal depths for me that had my heart stammering by the end, and I am a hopeless romantic in life who lives for concepts like this. Concepts that make me want to see tomorrow.

Seperti yang bisa dibaca dari blurb di belakang novel ini, your name bercerita tentang dua orang remaja yang bertukar tubuh. Menurutku ini poin paling menarik karena mempertemukan dua dunia antara Taki, yang tinggal di kota Tokyo dengan kehidupan dan gaya bicara yang anak kota banget dan Misuha, yang tinggal di pedesaan dengan gaya hidup dan tradisi Jepang yang sangat kental.

Karena menggunakan dua POV dalam satu bab, aku sempat bingung membedakan yang mana narasi Taki, yang mana narasi Mitsuha

Very cute, read in like two days.

A lot of talk about FMCs boobs constantly she is only seventeen but.... THE MOVIE IS SO GOOD CMON

Genuinely not much to stay on the story itself, i think Makoto said it best himself: the story is better told as a movie, because so many people put parts of themselves into it<3

We’ve met before. Or, no, that could be my imagination. It might be just an assumption, something like a dream. It might be a delusion, like past lives. Even so, I—we—wanted to stay together a little longer. We want to be together, just a little more.

I love your name. so much! But, honestly, I loved the movie more. This book was beautiful in the way it could bring to words the eerie feeling of the movie, something that I applaud. It's not easy to put into words somebody that was meant to be seen, and I think in that aspect this does a splendid job. But sadly, for me, that's everything it does, and I was kinda expecting something different than the movie, an extra maybe, but this wasn't it: it felt like watching the movie twice. I don't complain, though, it is an excelent movie!
