schönes Kinderbuch, dass auch Einblick in die Armut in Asien gibt(ist aber nur nebensächlich)
This was a very nice coming-of-age/adventure/quest/fantasy story set in India. I thought it was well-written and enjoyed the plot and characters very much. Right up until the very end it was a solid four-star book for me. But there was one aspect of the ending that I didn't expect and that really bothered me the more I thought about it. It really didn't seem in keeping with the rest of the book. The setting and the use of the conch as an object of power added an interesting touch to this story, so while I'm really giving it 3.5 stars, I'll round up to 4 stars for my Goodreads rating.
What a fun adventure! Had a blast joining Anand and friends as they returned the conch to it's rightful home and Anand made touch decisions. Recommended read for young people.
