Some truly emotional stories told of women in the prison system from the very compassionate perspective of a clearly fantastic doctor. I loved the first book and this is a great follow up.

Every single story was approached with respect and care. These women are often stuck in a cycle of abuse that sets them up for failure. The doctor talked about each of them as people and not just another number and was approached with kindness.
I only gave this a 4.25 as I’ve read a few of these kind of books now so lots of similar stories.

A really eye opening insight into prison life for women and trying to get healthcare. Some really eye opening, shocking and sad things to read about. I particularly liked how Amanda humanises the women and doesn’t just see them as prison numbers.
A really good read. I enjoyed it a lot.
