Katukatti Bob-kirjat ovat aina ihania. Niin oli tämäkin. Tässä palataan ajassa siihen jouluun jonka James ja Bob viettivät ekaa kertaa yhdessä. Bob vaikutti joulumieleen ratkaisevalla tavalla ja toi joulunmieltä sekä Jamesille että muille. Onneksi näitä oikean elämän satuja on olemassa! Luin suomeksi nimellä Bobin joulu.

Leest vlot, doet je nadenken over je houding tegenover daklozen en bovenal bevestigt het dat dieren soms meer kunnen bereiken dan mensen.

Wieder ein sehr gutes Buch. Man kennt zwar Teile der Geschichte schon von den anderen Büchern, allerdings sind es nur ein paar Details die für neue Bob-Fans wiederholt werden.

Einen Literaturpreis hat der Schreibstil nicht verdient aber ich finde es ist eine Besserung zu den Vorgängern zu sehen. Alles in allem werden Fans der Reihe nicht enttäuscht sein.

A Gift From Bob, James Bowen is about the relationship between a homeless man and his cat, Bob. Bob is one remarkable cat and I very much enjoyed reading about him. The book paints a bleak picture of what it's like to be on the breadline or sleeping rough during the festive season and is a salutary reminder that not everyone is fortunate enough to be with people they love at Christmas. A message of hope comes across clearly however and the bond between one man and his pet is evident.

I read this book in a day! I love cat stories and this true story is heartfelt and gives hope in challenging times.
