Even better than the first book. Love the story of loss and how to move forward not away from it, but with it.

This turned out to be so much more than my original impression . I picked this up thinking it was a cute children's book with beautiful illustrations. The illustrations are in fact beautiful and amazing but the story is as well. We follow the personal journey of not just the two friends traveling but also dragon working through some very heavy emotions and learning how to find peace within himself and be present in the now. Panda is characterized as an older more experienced individual that guides and protects dragon but also is teaching him how to handle life's challenges and still remember to live not just be alive.
I loved the first one a bit more. The short succinct little snippets of golden life advice was what I was hungry for, however this book told a story along with those bits of life advice.
Still a fantastic read. Beautiful artwork. Still cute as heck.

This was a really beautiful book. I loved the art. It was a simple story, but perfectly paced. I made sure not to read it too fast because it was a wonderful world to visit.
It’s a lot of thoughtful messages that I’ve heard before. Very “zen,” if that makes sense. But even though I’ve heard them before, it’s good to be reminded of it when life is always moving so fast.
I’m definitely interested in more from the author.

What a sweet and beautiful book from the Juvenile section of the library. If you ask me, it would suit even better for grownups, me included. I teared up which is always a good thing.
