I had such high hopes for this one, as I used to read this author when she had that rock star romance series and I ADORED those books. But this book just felt like a hot mess. It was all over the place and I just wasn't enjoying it that much but I pushed through it. I just found this one to be such a disappointment and I am not even wanting to read the rest of the series, so I might try looking through her backlist and see if she has other series that might appeal to me more. I know she can write great things so I think I just had such high hopes for this one here. And I expected so much from it and it just didn't work for me. So many aspects of it just made no sense to me. But I will try some other books. But I am more picky about books these days and just won't stick with a series if a book isn't doing it for me. It might have been a "me" issue.

This was a seriously addicting read! It was an emotional, angst filled, fun and sexy ride. I just couldn’t put it down. Awesome story!

Fin and Callie were great characters that I loved and wanted to throttle all at the same time. There was so much tension and animosity between them but this crazy attraction and chemistry as well. I loved learning their history and what happened between them and where they are now in their lives. There were so many ups and downs and mistakes on both of their parts. I loved Fin, I was rooting for him right from the beginning. I liked Callie a lot and understood where she was coming from and why she made some of the choices she made, however took stubbornness to a whole new level which made me stress out. The thing is, for as much as Callie and Fin could frustrate me with their choices, I loved that build of all the tension and angst as they worked through their problems. I couldn't wait for that moment when everything clicked for them.

A bit about the title of the book and the meme: I like how it was explained and I love how everything spiraled from the meme and what came out of the it, and what it ended up meaning. I know that's cryptic but I don't want to spoil anything. I just know a lot of the emotion I felt stemmed from this and I really love what the author crafted out of it. That being said, I wish there would have been a bit more closure when it came to the original reason the meme came to life.

I really liked the writing, I thought it flowed nicely, and the descriptions were great. It had a very New Adult feel because of their ages and all the angst. NA isn't normally a go-to for me but I really enjoyed it, I was hooked on the story and the build to their relationship. I’m excited to see where the series will go, there was a heck of a teaser at the end of the book that makes me anxious for more! Fantastic series starter!

The World’s Worst Boyfriend was a fun and sexy book where trying to win back the one who got away is a nightmare when social media plays a role in it.

Callie and Fin were a young couple, in love with plans for a future. Until Fin just walked away without any explanation. Six years go by and Fin is bound and determined to win back the love of his life. Callie, on the other hand, has put that life in the past and has moved on. Or so she thought.

I really enjoyed The World’s Worst Boyfriend and the effort Fin goes to to find the girl he fell in love with so long ago. I loved that Callie was tough to crack but when Fin finally got through to her, it was pure magic. Swoon worthy heroes, sassy heroines and a heartfelt story that makes for a wonderful second chance romance, is exactly what I needed and The World’s Worst Boyfriend delivered!

Fin and Callie are first loves that broke up before college because she wanted to study art in NYC and he bailed on her at the eleventh hour to help train his brother for a skiing competition. Fast forward 6 yrs and they meet again at her brother, his best friend’s wedding. He’s never loved another - physically or emotionally- and always thought she’d come back so they could try again.
Their second chance comes about because her prestigious fellowship is at risk so she starts an exhibition of broken hearts, which is so obviously based on the Museum of Broken Relationships in Zagreb, Croatia - it, too, started as an exhibition but now has a permanent home.
They each continue to make the same mistakes until they don’t anymore and they live HEA.

 |All in all, this is a pretty sweet CR. There are flaws, sure, but I felt pretty satisfied overall, and I haven't really connected with this author's work yet. When I was reading, I was reading this-which at the moment is more than I can say for most books.

If I had to name an issue here, while I enjoyed the central conflict because I thought it was reasonable I sort of couldn't get on the bandwagon of where the blame lies. The hero makes a very human, family-centric choice at 17, when the heroine is choosing her future and career. Fin remains family-centric and never gives up on his high school girlfriend, six years passes, and she returns.

So they are 23 or so, and I liked how they read believably, and yet I couldn't shake the notion that her expectations were a little "off" for their age and stage in life, and that his confidence in her was unwavering. I suppose that was part of the appeal of the book, but it left me a little cold that it felt like she was afforded all her own choices and he was expected to ride along - or that they'd compromise simply because of their choices.

It's a good foundation, but for me, it wasn't enough to see very little give in her idea of careers and relationships.

I know that is all a criticism, but it really was sweet and angsty, even comforting to read. I thought she built lovable characters and look forward to reading on about these brothers. 3.6

This was my first time reading a book by Erika Kelly and I will be reading more. This was an enjoyable, second chance romance. The characters were relatable and the story moved at a good pace. There is a strong sense of family throughout.

Finn is devoted to his brothers and tends to drop everything to help them, all because he is looking for their respect. What he doesn't realize is that he already has it. While Callie comes across as jealous of his brothers at times, I can also see her point when she says she should come first. Callie who has lived in NY for the last 6 years rebuilds her relationship with her family and develops a sweet relationship with her 4 year old nephew. She also develops a relationship with the community members who help her with her pop-up exhibition.

The story ends with a happy ending for Finn and Callie, as expected; however, there is an unexpected appearance which makes you want to jump right into the next book in the series. Can't wait to read Will's story.
