3.5 stars. it feels bad to say that i dnf’d it but i did and I’m sorry. maybe it’s because i just crawled out of a reading slump and this book was just not right for me at the moment. i read up to halfway and i am glad i can say that at least but i was getting impatient so i skipped forward and spoiled the ending for myself. i do like how it flowed it was just not my thing at the moment. i think i;m just going to stick to romance for now but sill a pretty good book for junior fantasy fanatics.

A Tale of Witchcraft was a nicely plotted book.
SpoilerNear the end of the book, it was exciting to see Alex and Connor's name! My instincts are telling me that Brystal is the Fairy Godmother. As in Alex and Connor's grandma Fairy Godmother.

Although, I must say, I'm sure not a fan of witchcraft.

This took me coppletely off guard with how much I loved it! To be honest, my expectations weren't the highest. I adored Land of Stories as a younger tween but wasn't sure if I'd enjoy this series. But it was soooo sweet and funny and atmospheric, and it is a middle grade, but I still adored it and would recommend to younger readers, fantasy lovers, and anyone who has struggled with depression, because this book had one of the best portrayals and applications of depression that I have ever read. It was so healing, it was so heartfelt, and it rang so true. I loved these characters and their quirkiness. Now I wanna reread the whole original series just for the nostalgia! But I'm very excited to pick up the final book of this trilogy, hopefully soon!

Chris Colfer combines his usual wit with lovely life lessons. Friendship, love, betrayal, regret, shame and grief. I was laughing, crying. I couldn't put it down and read it within a few hours.

I think the whole story line of Brystal getting worried, and her seeking advice from Madame Weatherberry honestly showed that Brystal was still getting used to her role of being leader, but the plot was very unexpected like majority of Chris Colfers books.

I knew it. I knew something was up with Seven.

This book was amazing, I loved it. The witches weren’t what I was expected and I was glad. Stitches was so dark and funny.
I couldn’t believe that Pip ditched Brystal though especially after they’re talk. It didn’t really make any sense and was never explained.
