Loved the illustrations and ending.

This is a cute series. Mildred reminds me of Ramona Quimby a little bit. Always getting in and out of trouble. Only in this case, there’s magic involved.

Sometimes I think the Worst Witch series is simply fodder for female friendship fan fiction. I hope Jill Murphy does a YA version, like they did with the Saddle Club series. Pine Hollow, anyone?

This was another fun adventure.

The jumps in the story are bigger than I would like them to be though, and the story does feel gapped in some places because of it. It looks like the books get a bit longer as we go on, so hopefully this will change a bit.

I spent a half hour re reading an old childhood fave and I didn’t realised how much I needed it!!

Also fun fact- seven year old me, named my Tabby Cat- who I still have- after the cat in this book!

The ending of this one was not as satisfying as the first book but bonus points for the sick aerial display!
