An entertaining thriller.  Lots of Levinesquery.  A woman in a new home betrayed by someone unexpected.  Couple of nice touches in the writing.  Early when she’s being watched by CCTV but doesn’t know it and the point of view moves without a break between watcher and watched.  Not as many nice touches as you’d expect from Levin, perhaps.  This could have been the length of Stepford Wives.  Pleasing ending with real tension.

I've been really getting into Ira Levin's work recently. I think this is probably my least favourite of his so far, though I still enjoyed it. It doesn't have the overarching conspiracy plotline or the social commentary, feminist themes of his earlier works, but it is good fun.

Its a little more thriller than horror, with some similarity to Caroline Kepne's You in terms of premise. Its a short, fun, tense story thats a good time, but that I don't think will stand out for me personally.
