some very good stories, some drag a bit but most are entertaining enough. Get thee behind me, Bubba Moon was my absolute favourite. could have been a book/movie in its own right but is a treat as a short story too

Great to get you out of a reading slump and try out different genres!
Moderate: Violence, Blood
Normally I'm not that interested in short story collections but some of these were so compelling I would have easily read a long story collection just to get a chance to hear some more of them. Though the goblin one was well not great and the others, while not bad, didn't really do it for me, the ones that had a sort of monster of the week/day vibe to it were so interesting. They honestly reminded me a bit of Doctor Who episodes but with more of a gory/horror vibe. My favorites were: The Lost Art of World Domination, The Wonderful Adventures of Geoffrey Scrutinous, The End of the World, Get Thee Behind Me Bubba Moon, Theatre of Shadows, and The Button.
Nice little set of stories, I haven't read any of them before so it was all new.
On the whole I'd say it was a decent set of stories, the themes varied nicely between them and the tone varied, the majority of them were funny but a few were darker. It was really nice to read the funnier books as well, the last few books have been a lot darker. My personal favourite was the story of Gerald at a cocktail party dressed as a monster from the deep in a rather unwieldy costume.

Some already published stories (at the end of previous novels), and some new. All good. Though the Bubba Moon one was weird and didn't fit - first person narrator and barely featuring Skulduggery or Valkyrie for most of it.
I enjoyed all of these, although I did feel that some were stronger than others. And the nostalgia of some of the early ones was so nice! My favourites include Friday Night Frights, Death and Texas, Gold, Babies and The Brothers Muldroon and The wonderful Adventures of Geoffrey Scrutinous (that one had me CACKLING).
omg I'm actually such an idiot because I thought I still had like 30 pages or so of stories to go after I'd read The Maleficent Seven so I'd been saving them until I needed it aaaaaand it turns out I only had one 10 page story left and that's it. smh.
