The story of this young girl is so intriguing and sad... if only we saw more of it and not basically read an update on Lucy's life and the chronicles of her being sick.
Then to top it off the book leads into a cliff hanger and requires you to buy the next book to find out how Tilly gets on which we maybe could of read without all the waffle.
I have a love/hate relationship with Cathy, I want to hear about the kids she takes on but I wade through her explanations of how simple things work just to get to the point (an example being why Lucy had to wee because a pregnant woman needs to wee more as the baby is on her bladder)

Interessant om op deze manier uitleg te krijgen over het (Britse) pleegkindsysteem. Het boek is goed geschreven, maar ik vond het toch ook weer niet heel denderend.
