Oh, I loved this book so much. The storyline was intriguing and full of mystery, laughter and emotional moments. I loved the characters, especially Felix and his dog Mabel. An absolute delight!

I loved the sound of this book. The premis I thought, was really interesting.
The first few chapters I found a little slow and by the time the actual mystery was unfolded, we were about 40% through so definitely a slow burn.
However, once the mystery kicked in, I was hooked. I loved the characters, just laugh out loud funny and totally loveable.
The mystery itself was flawlessly written. It really kept me guessing.
It really is a heart warming book despite the plot! I think if you liked The Thursday Murder Club, then this could be your next favourite!

I thoroughly enjoyed this.
I'm a bit sad that the Exiteers were basically a cover for a scumbag moneylender, because I quite liked the way that Felix thought of their work.
Amusing, intriguing, occasionally nerve-wracking in places. Definitely a page turner for me.

Belinda Bauer’s latest novel is absolutely marvelous in every possible way.
Our main character Felix is seventy five years old, he lives in Devon with his dog Mabel. Apart from his dog he is pretty lonely, because first his beloved son and soon after his wife died due to unbearable terminal illnesses, that’s why he became an exiteer. Felix‘s duty as an exiteer is to support terminally ill clients passively, throughout their suicide by their own hands. No laws are being broken, until Amanda - a newbie exiteer assists him on one occasion. Eventually Felix has to face problems that he never anticipated.
I adored this cozy mystery so much, it is such a remarkable story, quite outstanding actually. I never read anything like this before, even though the plot seems utterly dark with the suffering people and the deaths, it is however heart-warming and uplifting the whole time.
You won’t be able to resist the fabolous writing and the lovely characters. The pull of this story is immense, you will be finished with this book in no time.
Furthermore you won’t be able to stop yourself from a giggle here and a chuckle there..

A heart warming take on a murder mystery. Loved every second of reading this book as the plot developed chapter by chapter. Although portraying a different vibe to the rest of the book, the ending was touching.
