Overview
Did you know only about 36% of books translated into English are from non-European countries? And that less than 31% of books translated into English were written by women?
After learning this, translator Alison Anderson and blogger Meytal Radzinski started the Women in Translation movement, which in turn inspired me to seek out translated texts by women to read throughout the year.
My intention with this challenge is to encourage others to do the same, and discover new books they’ll love.
