I absolutely adored The Guineveres! This was everything I usually can't abide in a book; it was slow paced, it was character driven, it was a religious coming-of-age story... all things that might have kept me from picking it up if I had known anything about this one before I picked it up but I went into it blind and I would suggest that y'all do the same to really be able to appreciate how beautiful Domet's writing is. My only regret is that my time with The Guineveres had to come to an end and this is one that I'm sure I'll pick up time and time again throughout my life so that I can go back and relive those moments spent side by side with the four plucky Guineveres. I'll end this review with one of my favorite passages, from the very last page:

"I'll tell her to find someone to love, then love like it's her duty. Love like her heart will explode if she doesn't, like the world will catch on fire. It won't always be easy, I'll tell her. All humans have flaws, and we must love these flaws, too. Such dedication love requires. Such surrender. Love is its own kind of religion, but it's the most rewarding one."
