A hockey romance with absolutely no hockey in it. None. Not a single game. Not even a practice. Ugh.

It was fine I guess. I think because I started with Halsey’s book my standards were just too high. I really liked Winnie. And I really liked Pacey. At first. I will say that if I were Winnie, I would not have forgiven Pacey for what he did. It was a third act breakup we all saw coming from a mile away because as soon as there’s ever a secret at the beginning of the relationship we know we’ll be hearing about it around the 75% mark. Except Pacey took it waaay too far. Yikes.

Besides the main couple and the other four hockey players, all other characters were written as super one-dimensional. All Josh was was an asshole. All Katherine was was a true crime addict. And all Max was was gay. Couldn’t tell you a single other detail about them.

Overall this book was way too long. It could’ve been cut down at least 100-150 pages, in my humble opinion.
