StormWolfe: Sons of de Wolfe by Kathryn Le Veque

2.5

 My Review:

Stormwolfe I did have high hopes for and I was actually surprised how much I didn't like this one. To be honest I just couldn't be invested in this couple much. I practically skimmed through the second half. Now I have struggled with some books lately, and I think for a while I will be doing audiobooks for this author until I am back on track. I will say that I found the premise interesting and I really felt so bad for what the author has to deal with. I wasn't a massive fan of the heroine though at times, she just felt slightly too modernistic at times. There have been hints of this with this author's writing but it didn't really bother me until this book, it felt a bit too noticeable and not as subtle as what she usually writes. I also felt like there were some plot holes here and there which isn't common for Le Veque. I also didn't like how the parents of Thomas treated him with all the trauma and how they pushed him into a very toxic abusive situation and didn't fight harder to get him free of it when they practically forced him into it in the first place. So there was just some factors to the story that just had me losing invested interest in the story. Hopefully the next book will work way better for me.
