The blindfold has been ripped from my sight. Now, my heart doesn’t squeeze. My stomach doesn’t flutter. He broke something inside of me far more than just my heart. He broke my will. My drive. My voice. He broke down my very spirit, and I let him.

I'm officially obsessed with this series.

The slowburn was rewarding because oh my how things have gotten hot in Gleam

There's more scheming and more secrets resurfacing and Auren will either have to follow her heart or remain in her gilded cage.

I'm very happy with Auren's development in this book from start to finish. She is indecisive but I can totally understand where that indecisiveness comes from. Seeing here finally break out of her shell was so cathartic.

There is more political intrigue and court drama than the previous books and more characters introduced.

To add salt into the wound, expect some heart-wrenching scenes. There were moments I was on the verge of tears.

Feeling this forbidden want is a different sort of freedom, like crossing the border of a new land. I instantly find myself wishing that things were different, that we had met under other circumstances.

If you've been waiting for the romance to reach its peak then you won't be disappointed, I promise you!

I need a SLADE in my life. What a man.

“Your heartbeat…” “What about it?” His tone is hoarse, breath gone ragged.  “It sounds like mine.”

The ending is explosive! and I am so hyped for the next book!!

TW (this book has less triggers than the previous books but here are some): abuse, drugs, violence.
