The Body Is Not an Apology, Second Edition: The Power of Radical Self-Love by Sonya Renee Taylor

challenging funny hopeful informative inspiring reflective medium-paced

5.0

Wow. This is one of those rare books where every single sentence is worth a highlight.

This book is a vitally important exploration into radical self-love on an individual level and as a collective.

This should be essential reading, there is no question about that. Sonya's perspective and way of communicating this in an impactful way is so powerful and so accessible. I would recommend this one far and wide.

I particularly enjoyed the discussions around taking up space in the world and finding radical self-love both for yourself and your communities. The explorations into understanding not being essential to compassion and peace really spoke to me personally as this is something that has been on my mind a lot as of late.
