Reading this book there were for sure moments that I did not, absolutely would not, put it down. Especially towards the middle. I relate heavily to the message of this story. At the core of this retelling is the story of sisterhood and women falling to the edges of hero's stories.
The mix of Ariadne and Phaedra's telling's of the aftermath of the same event, both were very powerful and grieving women. While the book is short, it shows the stories of both these women start to finish. From the moment of Asterion's birth, to Theseus' betrayal, to the end.
