This book was so much fun. I loved the ode to New York & the glimpse of youth in pursuit of fun & adventure. Loved the description of the style, fashion, food & cocktails....it was all so richly described and was very transportive. Just as in Tom Lake which I had just finished, this book lets you experience a period of time as a young adult with the world at your fingertips....a lot of drinking, friends, laughter, galavanting & misbehaving in the best way.
