I am glad I started by Octavia Butler journey with other series. Took me a month to read this small book and I wish I would have dnf'd it. So far the Patternist series is too weird for me. Wild Seed had some redeeming qualities but this one just went on and on with the disturbing topics without the balance with hope and reflection I have come expect from Butler. This one wasn't for me.
