A Rill from the Town Pump by Albert M. 1866-1941 Bender, Grabhorn Press Bkp Cu-Banc, Nathaniel Hawthorne

reflective slow-paced

2.5

Not so much a story as a lecture delivered by the most unlikely source, the water pump in the middle of town. The subject: how deleterious other drink is compared to the multi-benefits of water from a clear spring. I wonder at how experimental such a composition was in 1835, for it seems like such at this date. Interesting and short enough not to be too annoying.
