Know that these 5 stars are for Jacob and Jacob alone.
And for the beautiful writing, of course.
This book made me laugh, cry, swoon, sob, giggle, gasp and everything in between. It made me FEEL so deeply. I'm honestly exhausted.
But my god, Jacob. He's everything. He really is an exceptional human being.
I was leaning toward a 4 star rating, because I'm not a fan of miscommunication, and these two dorks kept pining over each other, but couldn't freaking see what was actually happening between them. That was so frustrating.
While I do think Briana's concerns are valid due to her severe emotional trauma, that 3rd act breakup made me mad. But ultimately, it worked. It actually worked. Because Jacob is patient and perfect. We don't deserve him.
So, the award for BEST MALE MAIN CHARACTER in a romance book goes to Jacob. And he will never be dethroned.
