WOAH! ok so every couple of years i will read Pet Sematary by Stephen King its one of my ult all time favorite books. i have never found anything that has reminded me or given me the same feelings as that one until The Fisherman.
i LOVE the themes of loss and desperation its my favorite to read about and what extents we would go to in order to not hurt anymore. this was such a good read! the prose were so lyrical and at times made me teary eyed.
there is alot of long winded tangents just like s.king so if you arent a fan of that then this may not be for you. i will say this book SCARED me, like felt creepy and everything.
the structure was interesting bc the first 25% takes place now then the middle 50% is from wayyy back like the origin story and the last 25% comes back to now. i did really like that.
i think i prefered more of the beginning and end than the middle but i want to read this again and and again. i think this will be a story i pick up over and over!
