The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren
3.0
♡ As a stem girlie, I was really excited for this book. The idea was really interesting and I absolutely loved the stem portions of the book.
♡ however, this book just wasn't my cup of tea. What really threw me off was how juvenile the characters were portrayed. It almost felt as if it was staged in high school, and not about people in their thirties. For example, River's portrayal by the fmc gave mean girl vibes- she rudely judged him because he's quiet, patiently waited for his coffee, and for being caught completely off guard when a stranger (her) grabs his arm and invades his personal space. Wooooow.
♡ the only portions I liked about this book was the plot twist (which brought a cute aspect to their relationship), the science, and the ending. Other than that, this just wasn't my cup of tea.
♡ overall rating: 2.5 ★
